Landscape Material Calculator

Use this calculator to estimate how many cubic yards of landscape material you will need. The calculator works for materials smaller than ¾" in size including: topsoil, dirt, sand, stone, gravel, DGA, stone dust and aggregate.

Step 1 - Determine your Coverage Area - Use the “Box” coverage area calculator for calculating square or rectangular areas and the “Circular” coverage area for calculating round areas. This calculator offers 7 "Box" area fields and 4 "Circular" area fields for you to calculate multiple combinations of areas simultaneously such as: back yard, front yard, driveway, garden, etc.

  • Box coverage area - input your measurements (Length x Width) into "Area" fields (1-7).
  • Circular coverage area - input your diameter measurements into "Area" fields (8-11).
